1976    Began selling zero-clearance fireplaces. Energy shortage creates movement toward alternative heating fuels.

1977   Added wood and coal stove sales and opened first store.

1979   Moved to present location, expanded stove lines and built warehouse.

1980-1985   Very strong wood stove sales period, many stove lines came and went during this time.

1986-1989   EPA regulations take effect.  Only healthy manufacturers remain.  Pellet stoves gained much interest.

1990   Doubled sales and showroom areas adding several burn display units.

1991-1996   Introduction of high efficiency gas fireplaces and  stoves with realistic logs. Gas products become 80% of total sales

1997-1998   Sales of direct vent gas stoves and fireplaces remain very strong and are becoming main source of home heating.

1999   Wood stove sales are strong over y2k concerns.  Plan for further showroom and office expansions this summer.

2000   Showroom and office expansions completed.
